If you’ve ever read anything on plastic pollution and how you can make a difference, I can assure you that experience doesn’t usually end well.

More often than not, you’ll end up feeling guilty about the choices you’ve made, and the ones you’re still making.

You’re probably thinking that as long as you recycle your plastics responsibly, that would be enough. And you’re probably right.

But it turns out, there’s more to it than just putting the plastics into the right bins. A lot of these plastic wastes are actually ‘lost-in-transition’.

According to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF)¹, about 80 per cent of plastics in the ocean come from land. From landfills, litter, and improper commercial waste management.

Unless you stop buying products with plastic packaging, there’s really nothing you can do about it. You have no control over the disposal of these plastic wastes once they leave your household.
